  1. Okay, that’s just bizarre. Did the sign have multiple authors who were working independently or something?

  2. There are some words that, even when you are pluralising them correctly, just don’t look right. For example, if you were talking about Dora the Explorer dolls, and you wrote “There are many Doras on the shelf” the word “Doras” looks weird. So if you wanted to “fix” it, an apostrophe is mighty tempting.
