Merry… Christma’s?

with 7 comments

The worst one is “Headquarter’s” because “Headquarter” isn’t a noun. It only exists as “Headquarters.” What’s with those 5s? Has this sign been up since trees cost $2? I’d hate to have been tree shopping the day after they raised their price by 1150%.

  4. Well, yes, but “headquarter” is a verb. So that’s okay, right? ;-)

  5. At least for consistency they could have given us some Christma’s cheer.

  6. Afar as the fives go, what probably happened there was it was twenty-something, and when they raised the price they either got a digit on a sheet of white, or pulled off the old number and replaced it. It still looks hokey.
That being said, learn to write correctly!
