Sort of similar – I moved to Pittsburgh from Toledo when I was 12, and in my Social Studies class I was chewed out by the teacher for not spelling “Pittsburgh” correctly – I left off the “h”. I was so shocked I never got to tell the teacher that I had been living in the area for a whole two weeks.
