To Paul, with his “per” versus “a” issue:

Blame The Beatles and their song “8 Days A Week” for putting the nail in the coffin of “per.”

Oh, also, I clearly meant to say “an apostrophe” not “an apostrophes.” Sorry. I’m glad nobody jumped on it.

How very British of them to leave out the period after HRS. Although if they used it, they’d probably have to squeeze the type even more than they did. Speaking of type, did they really need two fonts?

It’s a money-saving initiative. Those government-issue apostrophes cost upwards of $1450 each, you know.

I have a problem with “24 HRS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK”.

I know it’s very common these days, but it should be “24 HRS per DAY 7 DAYS per WEEK”, or some other equivalent phrasing.

There should be an apostrophe in the word “owners.” It should read as follows:

…VESSELS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNER’S EXPENSE.

Look on the bright side. At least they didn’t use an apostrophes with the two plural nouns. That would be painful to witness.
